Case Study: Residential Apartment Units in wigram

Project overview

The structural design of 28 two and three-storey residential apartment units. Designed by Thom Craig Architects and built by reputable builders Hoogervorst Architectural Builders. The goal was to produce a structural solution that not only strong but is cost-effective. The end result has filled the expectations. Aesthetically design spaces, sophisticated concrete work for the foundation, and steel-framed balconies are still admired by the residents.

Type of material

Concrete foundation, timber and steel balconies, James Hardie titan board and vertical Dimond Veedek cladding for the cladding.

Time & budget

The application of capable personnel and resources allowed completion of the structural design ahead of the deadline and within budget, allowing for unscheduled works to be carried out.

Project highlights

The preliminary design was accepted by the architect after the first round of review. The final output was successful, and both Architect and builder were pleased with the outcome.
